Nieves serve as a pastor in Bachiniva, Mexico, a small pueblo in the mountains of Chihuahua. It is a beautiful area, but the community is in deep need of the truth of the gospel. Nieves and his wife (Karen) grew up in the area, so they have a unique heart for the people and a special understanding of the culture. Capilla del Calvario meets for Sunday and Wednesday services and seeks to be a blessing to the community. South Hill Baptist Church sends missions teams to come alongside the church and to minister to the people of Bachiniva.
