Get Connected

Connecting goes beyond the Sunday morning worship service, it involves living life on mission and in obedience to Jesus as we carry out His kingdom mission here on the South Hill and around the world.

Community Groups

Community groups at South Hill Baptist Church form the foundation of our life together. These groups  gather regularly to worship Jesus, study God’s Word, love one another, and serve our city. More than just another event, Community Groups are the place where life happens together as God’s redeemed people.

If you want to get more connected at South Hill, Community Groups are the way to do it. Interested?

Sunday Gathering

Sunday mornings are a wonderful time of Christian community at South Hill Baptist Church. If your heart longs for a place to belong-come join us… Come as you are! Sunday School begins at 9:30 am with Fellowship/Snack Time starting at 10:30. Worship services begin at 11:00 am in the sanctuary with messages centered on God’s Word, singing led by our worship team, and a multi-generational, multi-cultural setting.

Youth

While we are currently in a time of rebuilding and would love to have you join us in this endeavor. Calvin, our Director of Outreach and our children's workers do everything they can to ensure a Christ centered community exists for our children and youth. There is an age appropriate class each Sunday during worship for children age 9 months - 8 years old.

Service Opportunities

At South Hill Baptist Church we desire to connect with and impact our community by living lives on mission, following Jesus’ example of serving others.

Good Samaritan Reading Program - in partnership with Communities in Schools Puyallup, we serve by tutoring 1st through 3rd grade students at Woodland Elementary.

Weekend Backpacks - each week we partner with Woodland school to send backpacks of food home with needy children.

New Hope Resource Center - serving our homeless community in downtown Puyallup.

Puyallup Cares - Puyallup Cares is a Christian-based organization that is committed to promoting and putting into practice Jesus’s example of serving others. Founded in May 2010, they connect over 40 local churches and 25 non-profits in addition to other community groups and individuals. Their vision is that Puyallup will become a community where our families, churches, schools, businesses, government, and charitable organizations unite around an organized, intentional effort to meet the needs of other community members.

Freezing Nights - the freezing nights program allows our local homeless community to shelter in a warm church building during the 5 coldest months of winter. During this time, guests are transported to a different church each night where they are given a warm dinner, a foam pad or cot to sleep on, and breakfast the following morning. At South Hill Baptist Church, we serve alongside High Pointe Church and open our building each Wednesday night.
